Susannah is a well-trained and highly experienced counselor, grounded in traditional counseling methods such as rational-emotive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy. She counsels/consults with individuals, couples/families, and groups to help others awaken their hearts, connect to their highest potential, and create whole and healthy mind/body/spirit alignment.
In addition to her traditional training in counseling, she currently utilizes more transpersonal and leading-edge modalities, including: Neuro-Somatic Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychosynthesis (Parts work), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). In therapy, she teaches you to regulate your nervous system and guides you to release trauma blocked in your body. She helps you identify parts of your personality that remain stuck in the past to integrate them into a whole, empowered you, carried out with gentleness, compassion, integrity and the utmost confidentiality.
She is also a trained practitioner as a Gene Keys Guide, Agent of Conscious Evolution, Empowered Solar Priestess, Ordained Minister in the Temple of Ascension Mystery School, Sound Healer, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Consultant with the Tarot and Astrology.
In which she:
• leads meditation and contemplation groups
• facilitates empowering classes, workshops, and retreats
• conducts sound frequency therapy for groups and/or individual sessions
• utilizes her highly developed intuition for intuitive consultations
She facilitates all these services with the utmost respect, integrity and confidentiality.
In 2010, Susannah resigned from her position as a counselor and administrator of the University of Mississippi’s Counseling Center in order to broaden her scope of services to the larger community. She caters her services to those who are seeking greater wholeness and well-being as they awaken their natural capacity to live a heart-centered life.
Susannah’s personal, spiritual search has involved an eclectic mix of influences, beginning with her father, who was a Baptist Minister and Professor of Religion and Philosophy. His death, when Susannah was 16 years old, propelled her on a quest for the meaning of life and death. Over the years she has studied and practiced spiritual teachings from various cultures and traditions, which allows her to work with clients from all faiths and belief systems.
