Susannah is a well-trained and highly experienced counselor, grounded in traditional counseling methods such as rational-emotive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and Jungian psychotherapy.
She is trained in the transpersonal modalities of Psychosynthesis, Mindfulness Based Interventions, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and is a Certified Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist and Licensed Qualified HeartMath Instructor.
In addition to counseling, she
• teaches meditation
• facilitates empowering workshops and retreats
• conducts sound therapy for groups and/or individual sessions
• utilizes her highly developed intuition for intuitive consultations
She facilitates all these services with the utmost respect, integrity and confidentiality.
In 2010, Susannah resigned from her position as a counselor and administrator of the University of Mississippi’s Counseling Center in order to broaden her scope of services to the larger community. She caters her services to those who are seeking greater wholeness and well-being as they awaken their natural capacity to live a heart-centered life.
Susannah’s personal, spiritual search has involved an eclectic mix of influences, beginning with her father, who was a Baptist Minister and Professor of Religion and Philosophy. His death, when Susannah was 16 years old, propelled her on a quest for the meaning of life and death. Over the years she has studied and practiced spiritual teachings from various cultures and traditions, which allows her to work with clients from all faiths and belief systems.
